When the Lord wants to reward you for the maltreatment and non-payment you have experienced at the hands of your oppressors, he gives you favour.
In Exodus 12:35-36, we are told that as the Israelites were about to leave Egypt, Moses (under God’s instruction) told everyone to borrow whatever they needed and more from the Egyptians.
The saddened and frightened Egyptians could have chased the Israelites out immediately without taking their belongings. Rage and fear could have elicited a negative uproar against the Israelites. But the Lord quelled such reaction and instilled a generous disposition in the hearts of the Egyptians.
The last plague had broken the bones of the mighty, and he could only sheepishly consent to the demands of God’s people.
When the Israelites, whose God had finished Egypt, came to the Egyptians to ask for both basic and luxurious needs, the latter willingly emptied their house into the hands of the former. Egypt was plundered without spears and horses. This is called favour.
Favour makes you recover all the years of your unrewarded labour in one day and have surplus on it.
Therefore, today, I declare by the authority of Jesus:
Where you have been mocked and ridiculed, you shall be celebrated.
The same people who oppressed you have become your stepping stones.
Those who despised you shall call you blessed.
For your afflictions from God, you shall receive double blessings.
Your years of slavery are over. Enter into your years of freedom.
The places you lacked, you shall have overflowing supplies.
Your dry rivers are filled and flowing again.
You shall swim in the fountains of God.
The years of war in your body are over. You shall have peace of mind and body.
The places you failed, you shall excel.
What shut your mouth is taken away. You shall speak truth with boldness.
The years of tears are over. Here comes the years of joy
The years of fatness have overtaken the years of leanness.
I declare everlasting favour over you and your household.
A new season of restoration is opened to you.
You shall be remembered for good.
The good thoughts of God towards you are running after you.
You shall never be ashamed again.
It is your day of change, and the Lord goes before you to make it happen.
You shall be paid in full by your debtors.
Those who hurt you shall seek peace.
Fear of the enemies is cast out, and faith to face opposition is given.
The bones of your adversaries are broken.
Their swords (plans and strategies) have been turned against them and turned to your favour.
The mighty have fallen before the Almighty God.
Courage to take giant leaps is released unto you.
Go and be what God has made you to be.
I declare favour for all your years, in Jesus’ name.
