My bearing fruits/productivity is to God’s glory

  • cabiojinia
Clusters of dark purple grapes hanging on a vine in golden light

As I read John 15: 8, the thought below flowed freely, and I share you with, peradventure the ministration I got becomes yours.

My productivity is to God’s glory. My bearing fruit is to God’s praise. It is a testament to the fact that my Father is alive, well and doing a good work on me.

When I bear fruit, it shows that:

  • I am abiding in the vine as a branch. I am alive and possess fruit-bearing abilities.
  • Jesus and his words abide in me, giving me the ability to conceive and bear fruit.
  • Jesus, the vine, is alive, well and supplying my every need.
  • The Father, the husbandman, is great at his job of pruning, weeding, watering, shielding, disinfestation, and fertilising.

Therefore, my fruitfulness is evidence that the Vine is alive. And the Husbandman is carrying.

God will do everything he can, and he can do all things, to show the world the results of his liveliness through the branch, which I am. I didn’t come here by myself, and I am not living here by myself. He fashioned me in His image and likeness, and my fruit bearing is evidence that He is my Father, and it is for His Glory.

God loves his glory and loves his obedient children. Therefore, making them fruitful, which will redound to his glory, is an already settled issue.

A wealthy man whose obedient child dresses and acts as a beggar is a reproach to the family. God! I must bear fruit in all facets of my life.
