Many years ago, I penned down the counsel below to my young daughter.
Sometimes we are so tempted to change and to look like others around us. We consider them better in all respects than ourselves, not knowing that the reason most people come around us is actually because of who we are. With all the things we consider deficiencies or excesses.
Darling, I urge you not to change – YOU LOOK GREAT AND WONDERFULLY GORGEOUS THE WAY YOU ARE.
Also, ‘ugly’ people like me will always appreciate you for being yourself.
Everyone is taken. The only person left is you. Be original. Remain original, my love.
