There are nights when it’s difficult to fall asleep no matter how hard you try. There are mornings when you don’t want to get out of bed. There are cold afternoons that feel so hot and warm days that feel so cold.
There are times when your entire world seems to be caving in and no help is in sight. There are days when you want to give up and end it there.
When David’s heart was so overwhelmed that he seemed to be drowning in the sea of his troubles, he lifted his voice and wept, “From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I”. Psalms 61:2 KJV
At that point, God seemed so far and David’s troubles felt so near. But David understood that without the hand of God lifting him to a higher Rock, he would soon drown in the ocean of his problems. So, he exclaimed. And God heard him.
In the same vein, during those days, in those nights, when silence seems to be your only companion, I want you to remember this prayer. And whisper it gently, even with your broken voice, into the ears of God.
Dear LORD, please, teach me to be calm in the midst of the storm and to believe You’re with me even when I don’t see You.
In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
God bless you and have a peaceful day.
