Several times in the last 16 years I noticed that as I read the Bible, I’ll hear a Voice telling me to mark some verses. I’ll often question why I should have them highlighted since they never spoke to my present needs at the time, or at least I thought they never did.
But being so gracious and Omniscient, the Voice will simply tell me that they’ll be important in the near future. So, I would, sometimes reluctantly, highlight them and append the dates and time. Then, I’d go on reading and searching for the scriptures that ministered to my needs at that moment, forgetting the things I had highlighted.
Fast forward to 16 years later, I’ve discovered that as I flip through the pages of my Bibles, some of those scriptures now speak either to my present needs or to those of the people around me. And they are so apt and direct to the point that you’d just know that such accuracy is nothing short of Divine.
Someone said that the faintest ink is more powerful than the strongest memory. When you get a nudge in your spirit to write down certain ideas, words, songs or highlight certain verses of the Bible, please don’t ignore it. Let the will of that still small Voice be done and keep your present needs and thoughts aside for a moment. They may not speak to your present needs, but they’re important for where God is taking you.
Never ignore the still small Voice.
Lord, please pardon my ignorance and rebellion. I’ll be spiritually smart from now on.
May God bless you with new ideas and may He illumine your heart with words that will inspire you and others in the future. Habakkuk 2:3; Psalms 95:6-8.
Do have a lovely weekend.

So apt! I remember so many I marked reluctantly but they make a lot of sense now.
Lord, forgive my ignorance
Very true dear; they make a lot of sense now. May God’s Spirit continue to whisper into our ears, and may we listen going forward.
