Upon reading Genesis 41:33-41 recently, I began to see that certain problems come our way in preparation for larger ones. The spiritual experiences, skills, and understanding you gain from tackling smaller issues are essential for addressing greater challenges.
God trains us in prison so we can be useful in the palace—the place of destiny. Interpreting the butler and baker’s dreams served as a prelude to Joseph standing before Pharaoh. Likewise, the Lord can position you before Pharaoh’s servants today so you can eventually reach Pharaoh’s presence in two years.
Furthermore, I observed that although solving problems can bring you before kings, not all do so immediately. There are people’s issues where even after you’ve resolved them, you might still remain in your little corner without anyone recognising you. You might be forgotten by those you aided during their troubled times, but God will use circumstances to remind them of their past.
Patience is essential during this period as the seeds you have sown begin to sprout. The chief butler forgot Joseph, yet God orchestrated Pharaoh’s troubles to jog the butler’s memory of the poor servant languishing in prison.
Prayers:
1. Father, as I commune with you, give me solutions to the king’s matters; solutions to big problems that world leaders struggle to comprehend or resolve. Bring me before kings and great men by what you’ll do in and through me.
2. All the people who should remember me and mention my name before kings, may they recall me today. I don’t want to keep solving the problems of only people that forget me. Let those who ought to remember me do so today.
3. Dear God, when I am brought before kings, grant me the wisdom to understand, interpret, and proffer solutions to their difficult dreams.
4. Father, I have dwelt so long on this mount of obscurity. I have played in the local league for so long. What you have placed within me has remained concealed from where it rightfully belongs and should serve. Let my light shine forth from obscurity, O Lord!
5. Dear God, if it is your time, thrust me from the prison to the palace.
