During the last years of my elementary school, I stayed with my grandparents in the village. Before then I had lived with my parents in a neighbouring town.
Staying with my grandmother taught me a lot of things, amongst which was this practice of putting our valuable food items, including roasted meat, fish, spices etc., into the basket that hung down the roof above the fireplace.
That important, albeit simple practice has since become useful in the way I see and respond to life’s many challenges. Kindly click on the video to watch. Just a few minutes that I’m sure will help you see fire and the basket above it in a new light.
