In the management of life, understand that quite often the results we expect don’t depend on us. If everything depended on us, then, we won’t need faith, prayers and dependence on God.
Sometimes, you do everything right and perfect, but the outcome doesn’t come out as desired. You fall short of the desired results and don’t make much profit from your input.
But there are times you make some careless mistakes and take disorderly decisions, but things turn out great and almost perfect. You hit your expected results and make more profit than you had laboured for. This can happen as a student, business person, professional, gospel minister etc.
This is not to say that you do everything disorderly because “after all, you can’t determine outcomes.” No, rather it’s to humble you to know that you can’t fully control all aspects of life. There’s a power that rules the world. That transcends human understanding.
Hard work, preparation, and experience increase your chances of success. That shows God that you desire that your labour should yield the desired fruits. When you’ve done all, commit the rest into God’s hands.
I wrote something a few months ago where I talked about being prepared, yet with faith intact. Remember that Paul planted, Apollos watered, but it was God that gave the increase.
Don’t kill yourself because it didn’t work out well. Like a minister said, believe that the next will be the best.
